We have all heard the saying : we are what we eat. But there is more to it than that… we are what we digest and absorb from what we eat. The healthiest diet in the world is going to be of limited benefit it your digestion and absorption capacities are impaired.

Do you get diarrhea or constipation from time to time with no apparent reason ? Do you feel discomfort in your abdomen after eating ? Sometimes feel nauseous? Our digestive tract does more than just digesting our food and getting rid of waste products, it plays an important role in determining our health. It might come as a surprise to you that our digestive tract (gastrointestinal tract) has complex inter relationships with many systems in the body, including immune and nervous systems. In fact there are important relationships between ur diet, ur gastrointestinal tract, and ur health.
